If you are board then why not play a game? Games are a fun way to spend your time and can also be a great ice breaker. Many companies use games as team building activities because they promote discussion between people, especially in team games. Football is one of the UKs favourite past times both watching and playing, as well as rugby, cricket, tennis and snooker. Most of these might be considered sports however, and a much simpler and easier way (especially if you’re on your own) could be a board game, card game or computer game.

Board games are made by a variety of different companies, The Parker Brothers publish Monopoly, one of the best loved (and hated) board games of all time. Many a family row has started over this game, but it’s all in good jest!

Computer games are another good way to waste your time, enabling you to do things in a virtual world you’d never be able to do in a million years in real life. Battle monsters, go to space, be in the army, be an Olympic athlete – anything you want! With the internet being available world wide as well it is possible to play against (or with) people form all over the world!
